As an International artist, Nathlyn Baptiste is the highest profile artist in The London Borough of Newham. Home ground for six years, her studio is 800ft away from the Olympic Stadium in Stratford.
Being apart of ‘The Art of Sport’ with Lloyds TSB encompasses Baptiste’s passion for The 2012 Olympics. “The Olympic Park has literally grown around me and into my thoughts and my work. Daily: my pieces have a unique perspective of fresh colour, layers and changing geometric forms. I see my art as part of a journey-living, breathing and achieving goals as a personal, challenging experience.’ Baptiste feels an underlining commitment to the 30th games success and legacy of being the best Britain has to offer in sport, art and culture.
Having worked alongside Sir Peter Blake and patron-Nicholas Bonham, key work has been auctioned and sold to private collectors. 2007-Londons City Hall hosted her National Exhibition sponsored by The Major of London and The British Arts Council. Incorporated in newspapers, journals and publications across London and Art Sante Fe, America to a global audience.
